A Chance Encounter || kira-kami
Mikami offered his explanation in fear that what he was doing put his God in danger somehow. There was a reason they couldn’t simply just go out and have a chat anytime they wanted to. Mikami understood that God had issues with the police,and possibly a force even bigger then that. But he also knew that the only thing they did was get in his way. He knew that God would create the perfect world,one without evil,or chaos. All he had to do was wait.
With wide eyes Mikami gauged God’s expression. Had he done something wrong? He felt the urge to throw himself down onto his knees, and apologize to him if that was the case. But at the same time he was sure that would be an annoyance to him.
When he said otherwise,Mikami let out a breath of relief. So he hadn’t angered him. Good. He wasn’t sure if he could live with himself if he had upset God. At his gesture,Mikami’s eyes followed it to the truly empty park that surrounded them. He looked back into the brown eyes of his master,and nodded wordlessly,still a little starstruck by his presence.
When he was praised,Mikami’s breath quickened again. Never in his life had a compliment meant to much to him. He sank to his knees. “Oh thank you,God!” He shook all over. “Thank you so much!”
Yes, bow as all of humanity should do. With the man on the ground before him, it was impossible to forget such incredible dedication. A toy? A toy? What a wonderful game. Would you like to play? …or is this even a game? A smirk that had crawled its way onto his lips almost unconsciously slipped away at the thought. In his mind, he imagined Mikami having almost exactly the same thoughts as him. Though they would change course when he thought of Kira, they had to be the same. The world is rotten. Rottenrottenrotten—God will cleanse it. Laugh now, it’s quite safe to do so. He was being thanked ever-so-pointlessly, and yet he was mindlessly amused by it. But Light Yagami was anything but mindless. He was God!
Reaching out with a single hand, two fingers and a thumb grasped at the prosecutor’s chin to lift his head. Upon careful examination and several minutes of silence, he tilted his head and offered a light smile. Yes. This will do quite nicely. Plans work well when the pawns listen to the king. To the God. Follow me during this trip to hell. I’m sure we’ll scream together, in deathly agony. Someday we’ll be in heaven. And this world will be the heaven that weI rule over. Your God demands that you do as told. You make me… amused proud. He had no disappointments, nor regrets. What does the insane man regret when he commits crimes busies himself with cleansing the world of all evildoers. He was upon his crucifix, sacrificing his own innocence so that maybe, the world could be an innocent place. The police should be thankful. They failed to do their job – so he did it for them.
Crimson eyes bored into an opposing pair for a short period of time before his lips finally parted to expel a breath that had seemingly been held as he thought. Elaborate thoughts. The thoughts of a genius. “You may stand now. You should know you are welcome as you are the one doing my bidding.” Yet another wave of a hand toward their surroundings, and he shook his head. “This meeting won’t be detrimental.” If it were, he might have been required to end the man. That would’ve been… tragic.
Crime. It's common to let it be, or leave it to the police, is it not? Has one ever considered that they are... inefficient? The notebook... the Death Note... it came into my possession so I could properly punish evildoers.
